The ceramic objects that emerge from my studio practice reflect my pursuit of balance, flirt with function, dance between 2D and 3D, and are both formal and conceptual as they explore proportions and the possibilities of play. As with many, I seek refuge in the studio and in the art of the handmade. Thoroughly hand-crafted, each piece addresses material challenges, contrast, and movement in form. They are objects meant to be lived with as companions. The devil may be in the details, but in my practice, it is in the details that I seek the sublime. I pull no punches and offer an object crafted with care reflective of a mildly obsessive maker’s life.
