In this current and new body of work in which I am flipping the switch on the idea of 4-letter “bad” words. Letters dance around large ceramic vessels to spell out 4-letter “good” words and phrases imbued with joy and inspiration. In these objects, the relationship between form and surface is being pushed through layers of glaze and multiple firings and the letters push through the surface. The viewer is seduced into engagement, encircling the form to puzzle out the message and possibly getting a little dizzy.
